Devops Engineer

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Systems Management:

• Manage and maintain cloud and on-premise infrastructure supporting banking applications.
  
• Ensure high availability and reliability of systems supporting digital banking platforms.
• Monitor system performance and resolve infrastructure issues proactively.
• Maintain server environments, including Linux and Windows servers.

CI/CD & Automation:

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.

Application Deployment:

• Support development teams in deploying applications across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, where applicable.
• Ensure smooth release cycles with minimal downtime.

Monitoring & Incident Management:

• Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect infrastructure and application issues.
• Troubleshoot production incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Maintain logs and system metrics for performance optimization.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure infrastructure meets banking security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement secure access controls, encryption, and patch management.
• Work closely with cybersecurity teams to mitigate vulnerabilities.

Database & System Integration Support:

• Support database infrastructure used by the core banking system and digital channels.
• Assist with API integrations with payment gateways, fintech platforms, and financial service providers.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures.

Documentation:

• Document system architecture, deployment processes, and infrastructure changes.
• Maintain operational runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience managing production environments.
• Linux system administration.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Virtualization technologies.
• Strong problem-solving ability and excellent collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in critical environments.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Experience working in financial services, fintech, or banking environments, and in supporting core banking applications.
