About the role 

As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for leading the commercial team in Nigeria responsible for revenue and customer growth. You will develop and implement sales strategies that target key industry players including patients, healthcare providers, HMOs, and organizations. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to refine our propositions to customers and will also be responsible for hiring and leasing Platos Health sales, marketing, and customer success personnel. 

What do you need to be successful?

â Own and manage customer and revenue objectives and KPIs 

â Develop and implement a sales strategy to achieve our customer and revenue targets 

â Lead sales, marketing, and customer success to implement the strategy 

â Hire, lead, and manage the sales team and processes, including setting performance goals, providing training and development, and evaluating performance 

â Track and report customer and revenue performance, analyze trends and iterate or pivot strategy and plans where needed 

â Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry

â Represent Platos Health at industry events and conferences 

â Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

As a Commercial Manager, you play a central role in driving revenue, managing client relationships, and shaping the company and #x27;s commercial strategy. Your work extends beyond sales and contracts; it encompasses market analysis, risk management, strategic planning, and innovation

What should you have done in your career?

â Proven track record in sales and leading teams 

â 7+ years experience in sales in the healthcare industry 

â Background in any of biomedical science, medicine and technology are a plus 

â Strong skills in other commercial functions such as marketing and customer success

â Ability to be hands-on when needed. E.g. Show the team how to close a complex deal

â Strong knowledge of how startups work
