Job Summary

This job description is only a directive to facilitate and to bring clarity of your role and the expectation of the Management out of it. The City Manager will be a Business Head for a region, managing up to 5 warehouses, and reporting directly to the CEO. The incumbent will be responsible for setting up warehouse strategies with a strong focus on driving sales and optimizing operations. (S)he will have a team of Unit Managers and Store managers reporting to them, and work closely with the CEO to drive business objectives.

Job Description/Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team. 

  • General oversight and harmonization of all warehouses.

  • Responsible for the growth, expansion and establishment of all warehouses in the country

  • Responsible for setting objectives and strategic directions

  • Management of the warehouse & store activities in line with prevailing best practices

  • Devised ways to optimize inventory control procedures

  • Analyzed data to anticipate future needs

  • Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships

  • Collaborated with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.

  • Establish effective cooperation of the warehouse with other departments and with functional heads on the level of head office and/or Group level

  • Comply and control the compliance of the staff with the company procedures and policies

  • Regularly suggest and document all measures necessary for the improvement and commercial success of company operations at other branches

  • Make accurate archiving procedures and control the document flow

  • Check the physical documents in your custody on a regular rolling monthly basis

  • Control labour safety and work discipline at the warehouse, establish and maintain compliance with safety and security requirements


    REQUIREMENTS

    • BSc/HND with a minimum of 4 + Years of experience.

    • Well exposed to B2B Sales and must have exposure in leading a team of 50-100 people.

    • Excellent knowledge of MS-Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint and other day to day reporting tools.
