A Video Editor is generally responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. The Employee is required to perform the following duties and undertake the following responsibilities in a professional manner.
(a) Work closely with the Production Manager and the Director to help the director realize their creative vision, through composition, framing, lighting, and camera movement.
(b) Work closely with the Production Manager, Director and Writer/Editor to edit and assemble recorded materials into finished product to realize the vision of a particular production.
(c) Maintain cameras and all studio equipment.
(d) Have good oversight of camera movement, lightening and video editing operations.
(e) Strategize with different departments to help impact results and improve general performance.
(f) Leverage technology solutions to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
(j) Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Managing Director.
