Job descriptions & requirements

We believe every business deserves to hire fearlessly and that a verified, trustworthy workforce is where economic growth begins.

Gogetter is Nigeria’s premier Employer of Record (EOR) and physical verification platform. We partner with top-tier corporate clients from logistics fleets to FMCG distributors to supply them with highly vetted, reliable talent. Our services combines advanced digital identity checks with rigorous, on-the-ground physical verification (KYS) and seamless payroll infrastructure.

Today, we are eliminating the trust gap in the Nigerian job market, protecting businesses from theft and high churn while guaranteeing secure, on-time salaries for thousands of workers. We combine tech-driven efficiency, relentless grassroots hustle, and disciplined execution. As we scale, we are building an organization capable of turning trust into a measurable standard at a national scale.

About The Role

As a Talent Acquisition Officer within our Operations team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Gogetter’s workforce by identifying, vetting, and securing top grey-collar talent across Lagos. This is not a standard desk job. It requires a street-smart mindset and a highly active, hands-on approach to talent acquisition, ensuring that our candidate pool is robust, verified, and ready for immediate corporate deployment.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, knows how to navigate the city independently, and is passionate about connecting people with secure jobs. By balancing grassroots recruitment with strict compliance protocols, you will be the physical gatekeeper of Gogetter’s reputation for trust.

What you will do:

  • Actively source and recruit high-quality talent (drivers, warehouse staff, field sales reps) across various communities in Lagos into the Gogetter network.
  • Conduct first-line screening interviews to assess candidates' communication skills, attitude, and immediate employability.
  • Execute "Know-Your-Staff" (KYS) physical background checks, traveling to residential addresses to verify occupancy and capture geo-tagged data.
  • Liaise with and interview candidates' guarantors face-to-face, confirming their liability awareness and securing physical signatures.
  • Identify gaps or red flags in candidate profiles, using high emotional intelligence to detect inconsistencies or forged documents.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment metrics, ensuring all visitation reports and digital documents are cleanly uploaded to the Gogetter dashboard in real-time.
  • Assist with onboarding, helping candidates opt into the gogetter network and understand our processes.

What you should bring:

  • The desire to use your interpersonal skills to create real economic impact by connecting people to secure, verified employment.
  • 1–3 years of demonstrated experience in roles such as grassroots sales, mass recruitment, field operations, or community management.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Lagos geography and the ability to navigate the city safely, efficiently, and independently.
  • Strong understanding of the grey-collar workforce and the unique challenges of mass recruitment in Nigeria.
  • High emotional intelligence and street smarts, allowing you to foster trust with job seekers while remaining firm and analytical with suspicious guarantors.
  • Tech fluency, with the ability to confidently use mobile applicant tracking tools, GPS mapping, and digital reporting platforms on the go.
  • Ability to thrive in an agile startup environment, embracing daily field challenges with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Radical integrity and autonomous reliability you will operate as our trusted eyes and ears on the ground.

What we offer:

  • Work with a smart and ambitious environment directly contributing to solving the issues around recruitment and background checks.
  • A healthy work-life balance with flexible hours, an async-friendly culture that respects personal time and autonomy, and a remote setup.
  • Career growth opportunity that ensures you have the security and resources you need to excel
  • An open environment where feedback is welcomed promoting mutual growth.
