Supermarket Manager

Responsibilities:

Operational Oversight:

• Sales and Service: The store manager oversees sales activities, ensuring excellent customer service and meeting customer expectations.
• Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, stock rotation, and product orders to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Staff Supervision: Supervising and evaluating staff performance, including training and development.
• Budgeting: Responsible for budget management within the store.
• Merchandising Strategies: Implementing pricing and merchandising strategies to boost sales and profitability.
• Safety and Sanitation: Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.

Dynamic Role:

• The supermarket store manager’s job is dynamic, with daily tasks varying. They deal with individuals with diverse needs, handling challenges and projects throughout the day.
• Due to the demanding nature of the role, managers often work weekends and extended hours on weekdays.
• While they have an office, most of their time is spent on the supermarket floor, actively engaging with customers and staff.

Size-Dependent Responsibilities:

• The scope of duties depends on the supermarket’s size. Larger stores involve more complex responsibilities.
• The store manager collaborates with top management and other staff members, reporting daily activities to the assigned authority.

Client Relations:

• The manager handles client issues, forwarding difficult cases to top management for resolution.
• They focus on meeting customer expectations and ensuring top-quality service delivery.

Innovation and Compliance:

• The store manager develops and communicates new ideas to propel the supermarket forward.
• They stay informed about the store’s goals and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout their tenure.

Remuneration: NGN 150,000 - 200,000
