Job Description:
Job Title: Project Scheduler
Location: Onsite, Monday–Friday (occasional travel to project sites required)
Duration: 3 year W2 contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Project Scheduler to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and managing resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6 software. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of project scheduling techniques, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules in Primavera P6.
- Perform quality checks on schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Analyze and manage critical path and resource loading; adjust resource allocation as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams of varying sizes and maintain close relationships with stakeholders.
- Communicate project details effectively to all stakeholders and support project managers when required.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) for reporting and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and tasks under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience working with Primavera P6 in an industry that heavily utilizes the software.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and managing resource-loaded project schedules.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and phases of the project life cycle.
- Understanding of project scheduling techniques and project controls methods/procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Ability to lead scheduling efforts when required in support of the Project Manager.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience performing schedule quality checks and validations.
- Ability to spread and balance resources across multiple schedules.
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement and collaboration best practices.
