Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate customer creditworthiness, vehicle financing applications, and overall portfolio risk exposure.
- Monitor loan repayment trends, delinquent accounts, and identify early warning signs of default.
- Conduct routine internal audits and compliance reviews across departments and operational processes.
- Investigate suspicious transactions, fraud risks, policy violations, and operational irregularities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, internal controls, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures
- Prepare audit findings, risk reports, and recommendations for management.
- Conduct periodic portfolio reviews to ensure loan quality and healthy repayment performance.
- Maintain accurate risk registers, audit documentation, and portfolio performance records.
- Ensure proper documentation and verification for all financed vehicles and loan files.
- Support recovery and repossession processes for delinquent accounts where necessary.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review departmental SOPs and SLAs to improve operational efficiency and accountability.
- Strengthen operational processes and ensure all workflows are properly documented and standardised.
- Supervise and guide junior risk/audit personnel where applicable.
- Collaborate with operations, recovery, finance, and customer service teams to improve portfolio quality.
- Organize and conduct periodic staff trainings on risk management, compliance, SOPs, audit processes, and operational standards.
- Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements and capacity-building initiatives.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly risk, compliance, and portfolio performance reports.
- And any-other task as assigned by your supervisor and management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a car leasing or hire purchase company
- Strong knowledge of car loan processing, credit/risk assessment, and risk control
- Experience with audit, compliance, and internal control processes
- Ability to monitor loan performance and identify potential risks/defaults
- Experience leading teams and working effectively under pressure
Location: Lagos, Ikeja
Work mode: Fully onsite (Monday - Saturday, 9am - 5pm)
