Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious Restaurant General Manager (RGM) who will be responsible for the overall operations, profitability, and customer satisfaction of the restaurant(s). This role includes managing daily activities, leading and training staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and service, and implementing strategies to achieve the restaurants goals.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team of staff, including servers, cooks, and hosts.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Implement effective communication strategies across all teams.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to standards.
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, ensuring consistency and excellence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and address any issues or complaints promptly.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant to interact with guests and gather feedback.
  • Implement programs to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop and manage budgets, financial plans, and forecasts.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain high performance levels.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees.
  • Create and implement training programs to enhance skills and service standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate supply of ingredients and materials.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
  • Implement cost control measures to minimize waste and manage expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and restaurant policies.
  • Oversee health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Implement and monitor security procedures and measures.


Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 7 - 10 years
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant industries software and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.


Location:
Lagos State


Remuneration: NGN 400,000 – 800,000
