Job Summary

Reporting to the MD/CEO, the successful candidate for this role will provide day-to-day leadership & management to the Company that mirrors the Company’s mission, vision, core values, and culture. S/he will develop the human capital management strategy and develop policies/processes aligned to drive the implementation of the Company, work closely and provide operational support to board members, executives, clients, and stakeholders to identify scope, oversee, manage, and develop project plans and execute all business projects from start to finish. S/he will position the Company as a fully digital microfinance bank of choice in the market with innovative products and services and will have responsibility for driving the Company to meet and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the business plan from start to finish of the bank as approved by the Board.
  • Run a successful digital Microfinance bank effectively using technology to drive assets and liability creation to achieve performance targets.
  • Deploy technology and E-Business Solutions to position the bank as a major digital bank in Nigeria using all electronic channels to deliver a suite of products.
  • Monitor and report project critical path and prompt delivery of bank electronic projects and ensure prompt completions.
  • Spearhead the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes using technology and benchmarking with the best digital solutions in the marketplace.
  • Maintain the financial model and manage day-to-day financial operations within the company such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Lead a high-performance management team by attracting, recruiting, and retaining executive team and staff not currently in place to achieve the business plan of the bank
  • Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term earnings.
  • Ensure the development of relevant structures (process, people, and systems) to support the achievement of the company’s vision, goals and objectives
  • Manage company funds and monitor & maximize return on investment for the company.
  • Ensure effective team/project-based communication and change management implementation.
  • Manage, develop, and refine sales strategies to improve market share of the company’s products and ensure consistent, profitable growth in revenues.
  • Achieving revenue and asset/liability growth targets for the company.
  • Serve as the intermediary and communication link between internal and external team members throughout the road map of a project life cycle.
  • Monitor project team performance and communicate major issues, slippages, and suggested remedies.
  • Co-ordinate and manage interaction among diverse stakeholders and team members throughout a project lifecycle.
  • Establish infrastructure to capture and report on project targets/metrics.
  • Define/deploy a common set of processes, tools, and templates to control the program.
  • Evaluate risks/issues and develop mitigation and resolution plans.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a similar role in a commercial bank/Microfinance bank or Fintech company.
  • A graduate degree from any reputable educational institution in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Computer, or technology-related courses.
  • A professional qualification in Accounting, Banking, and Technology. A post-graduate degree would be an added advantage.

 

Competency and Skills Requirements:

  • Superior leadership and people management skills, including the ability to manage teams effectively in order to achieve performance targets.
  • Proven E-Banking experience in a commercial bank/Microfinance bank or Fintech company with a good technology and business solution background to drive a digital Microfinance business.
  • Ability to Use technology to drive assets and liabilities generation through multiple channels.
  • Good ability to deploy electronic solutions to grow market share.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, and supervise and manage deadlines to achieve superior performance.
  • Good knowledge of agency banking, wallet management, and deployment of E-solution to meet the dynamic needs of customers and adapting market changes.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the organization’s product and service offerings.
  • Adequate understanding of HR strategy articulation and implementation
  • Attention to detail and project mapping skills
  • Young and dynamic team player with a proven track record of excellence in similar roles and business owners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Strong business acumen, maturity, and tact, including the ability to relate with the highest levels of Management.
  • High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity and ethical standards
  • Good understanding of project management, research, and development skills also with proven ability to use project management tools


Location: Lagos

Remuneration: NGN 15 Million - 18 Million Annual Gross
