Job Summary

A Medical Practice Business Manager, also known as a healthcare practice manager, is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a medical facility, including administrative, financial, and operational functions. This job requires an individual with prior operational and management experience and must show evidence of prior success in an operational or management role preferably in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate must have good understanding of financial management including revenue cycle management and must be able to operate with revenue and volume targets for the practice that must be met with monthly and quarterly targets.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Staffing: Hiring, training, and supervising nonclinical staff, such as receptionists and medical secretaries
  • Scheduling: Ensuring appointments are made and kept, and organizing duty rotas for staff
  • Finances: Overseeing budgets, billing, and payroll, and ensuring the practice achieves its financial objectives
  • Patient care: Addressing patient concerns and questions about their appointments and accounts, and ensuring adequate access for patients
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations, such as industry and health and safety regulations
  • Other: Implementing policies and procedures, managing the revenue cycle, overseeing security procedures, and monitoring inventory.
  • The successful candidate must oversee all operational and administrative aspects of the practice, including revenue generation and growth, clinical quality of care, and customer satisfaction. 


Requirements:

  • MBA or Master's degree in healthcare management or business administration or relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in operational management capacity. 5 years in Financial Reporting is preferred
  • Extensive experience in a managerial position in a clinical or medical setting is a plus
  • Experience with financial management and reporting
  • Good organizational and customer management skills
  • Ability to work with diverse people
  • Strong confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)


Contract length: 36 months

Remuneration: NGN 200,000.00 -  450,000.00 Monthly (commensurate to educational level, prior job-related experience, and demonstrated track record)
