Job Description – HR Business Partner (Manager Level), Nigeria
Role Purpose
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will act as a strategic partner to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives. The role focuses on talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and driving a high-performance culture across the Nigeria operations.
Mandatory Requirement - Must be having language proficiency in French.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership
- Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals
- Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management
- Translate business needs into effective HR solutions
Talent Management
- Lead talent acquisition strategy in collaboration with recruitment teams
- Identify skill gaps and support learning and development initiatives
Employee Relations
- Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations matters, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies
- Manage disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution in line with local labor laws
- Promote a positive employee experience and engagement culture
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws and company policies
- Support audits, HR reporting, and data-driven decision-making
- Collaborate with HR COEs (Comp & Benefits, L&D, Payroll, etc.)
Change & Culture
- Support organizational change initiatives and cultural transformation
- Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
- Champion company values and ethical standards
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5–12 years of progressive HR experience, with strong HRBP exposure
- Proven experience at Manager level supporting business leaders
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
