Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 – 4 years' experience in procurement, quantity surveying, materials sourcing, or a related function within architecture, construction, engineering, or the built environment sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, or a related built environment field.       
  • Postgraduate qualification or professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
  • Membership (or student membership) of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), or equivalent.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and maintain a reliable database of suppliers, vendors, and contractors for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Source competitive quotations for materials and services required across active projects, ensuring value for money without compromising quality.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct supplier due diligence and periodic performance reviews.
  • Process purchase requisitions from project and site teams, verifying accuracy against approved Bills of Quantities and project specifications.
  • Raise and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials to sites in line with project schedules.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery notes.
  • Monitor stock levels of frequently used materials and coordinate timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with Site Leads and Project Managers to forecast material requirements based on project timelines.
  • Verify that materials and supplies received meet specified quality standards and project requirements before acceptance.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, budget approval limits, and ethical sourcing standards.
  • Support cost control efforts by tracking procurement spend against approved budgets and flagging variances.
  • Provide regular procurement status reports to the COO/Line Manager, covering outstanding orders, delivery risks, and cost performance.
  • Liaise with the Finance team to ensure timely processing of supplier payments and accurate cost allocation.
  • Support the studio's broader operations by assisting with logistics, equipment procurement, and administrative purchasing as required.
  • Maintain awareness of market trends and pricing fluctuations for key construction materials.
  • Support internal audits of procurement processes and documentation.
  • Perform other procurement or operational duties as assigned by the COO or Line Manager
