Tiler
Job summary
The Tiler is responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing floor and wall tiles in hotels, offices, residential buildings, and other assigned project locations. The successful candidate must possess practical tiling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver neat, durable, and professionally finished surfaces.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install floor and wall tiles, including ceramic, porcelain, marble, granite, and other suitable tiling materials.
- Inspect and prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, filling cracks, and ensuring they are suitable for tiling.
- Take accurate measurements and calculate the quantity of tiles and materials required for each project.
- Mark out work areas and establish straight lines, levels, and appropriate tile patterns before installation.
- Cut and shape tiles to fit corners, edges, doorways, drainage points, and other spaces.
- Mix and apply tile adhesives, mortar, grout, and other materials correctly.
- Lay tiles evenly, ensuring proper alignment, spacing, levelling, and finishing.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience
- A minimum of SSCE
