A reputable pharmacy in Surulere, Lagos, is seeking a knowledgeable, customer-focused, and licensed Pharmacist to join its healthcare team. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, drug interactions, and contraindications.
  • Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of prescribed and over-the-counter medications.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation.
  • Monitor medication inventory and ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and security of pharmaceutical products.
  • Supervise pharmacy support staff where required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and professional pharmacy standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D).
  • Current practicing license with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of post-qualification experience in a retail, hospital, or community pharmacy.
  • Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, ethics, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office applications is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.


Preferred Candidate:

  • Resides in or around Surulere, Yaba, Mushin, Maryland, Lagos Mainland, Ebute Metta, or Ikeja.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Available to resume work promptly.
