Oil Palm Plantation Manager

Responsibilities:

• Assuming leadership responsibility for ensuring infrastructure and supporting units are well equipped.
  
• Working closely with other department heads to facilitate cost-effective operations.
• Providing leadership and strategic guidance to all aspects of agriculture (R&D, Development, Harvesting, Maintenance).
• Actively involved in the business’ ground operations.
• Involved in the planning and execution of the company’s expansion plan.
• Oversees the daily operations of the estate and is responsible for human capital development, asset utilization and preservation, and operational performance.
• Inspecting the plantations and preparing written reports after each visit detailing the state and conditions of all aspects of the estate together with necessary recommendations.
• Provide recommendations on all agricultural aspects of the development and operation of the estates in conformance with best-developed practices.
• Ensure all plantations are within the framework of environmental policies and responsibilities.
• Ensure all work operations are conducted in a safe and responsible manner
• Planning and managing estate budgets to ensure operating expenses and profitability are maximized.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, local government, and the community around the estate.

 Requirements:

• Degree in Agriculture/Forestry/Science & Technology or any related field.
• Minimum of 9 years of proven working experience in Palm oil plantations.
• Solid Technical Background with an understanding of a Palm Oil Mill.
  
• Strong experience in managing plantations in various locations
• Proven track record in managing multiple estates
• Interpersonal, Strong Leadership, Problem-Solving, and Time Management Skills
• Basic Agronomic Knowledge and Farming Practices
• Ability to work and live in the areas of the farm
• Experienced in production and milling.
