Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Production & Operations: Plan and direct planting, cultivating, harvesting, feeding, breeding, and general care for crops or livestock.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise farm workers, ensuring safety protocols and efficient task completion.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage budgets, track expenses, and purchase supplies
- Maintenance: Oversee upkeep of machinery and equipment, including scheduling preventative maintenance.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, labor laws, and environmental standards, plus implement biosecurity measures.
- Strategy & Planning: Develop long-term goals, implement new technologies, monitor crop/animal health, and plan for market demands.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate financial, production, and employment records.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- Minimum of a BSc
