We are seeking a Managing Director – Growth, Operations, Fundraising & Finance to lead company operations, drive commercial expansion, manage financial performance, and represent Lak-Che with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Leadership, Management & Operations:

  • Lead, supervise, and structure internal teams (objectives, planning, performance tracking)
  • Implement efficient operational processes (reporting, project tracking, client follow-up)
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and company-wide operations
  • Ensure execution excellence across all projects and client engagements
  • Deliver weekly and monthly performance, growth, and operational reports to founders and the board


Business Development, Sales & Online Acquisition:

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new clients and strategic partners
  • Build, grow, and manage a strong client portfolio
  • Design and execute the company’s commercial and sales strategy
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value contracts
  • Manage, optimize, and actively use freelance and online service platforms (Upwork, Malt, Fiverr, Toptal, Freelancer, etc.) to:
  • Apply to qualified opportunities aligned with Lak-Che’s services
  • Propose company offerings to relevant leads
  • Convert platform leads into recurring and long-term clients
  • Represent Lak-Che in strategic meetings, business events, and industry forums


Fundraising, Investors & Company Representation:

  • Design and execute the fundraising strategy (pre-seed, seed, grants, strategic investors)
  • Identify, approach, and manage relationships with investors, VCs, angels, and institutional partners
  • Prepare and deliver pitch decks, financial narratives, and investor presentations
  • Represent the company at startup events, demo days, conferences, and investor meetings
  • Act as a key spokesperson and ambassador of Lak-Che’s vision, growth, and financial strategy


Accounting, Finance & Financial Control:

  • Oversee company accounting, financial reporting, and cash flow management
  • Ensure accurate tracking of revenues, expenses, margins, and profitability
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and basic regulatory requirements
  • Work with external accountants, auditors, or consultants when needed
  • Align financial performance with growth, fundraising, and operational objectives


Strategy, Growth & Market Expansion:

  • Identify new market opportunities and scalable revenue streams
  • Refine and position commercial offers based on market demand
  • Contribute to the evolution of Lak-Che’s products and services
  • Define, track, and optimize key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Actively contribute to long-term growth, scalability, and regional/international expansion strategy


Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Preferred: Master’s degree / MBA in Business, Finance, or Entrepreneurship
  • Additional training in accounting, finance, sales, or fundraising is a plus
  • Experience: 5–7+ years in startup, scale-up, or performance-driven environments
  • Proven experience in leadership, operations, or general management
  • Strong background in business development, sales, and negotiation
  • Solid understanding of accounting, financial management, budgeting, and cash flow
  • Experience with online client acquisition and freelance platforms
  • Exposure to or experience in fundraising and investor relations
  • Ability to manage revenue targets, KPIs, and financial performance
  • High autonomy, accountability, and decision-making capability
  • Excellent communication, pitching, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong proficiency with digital tools (CRM, Google Workspace, accounting/reporting tools)


Language Requirements (Mandatory):

  • English: Advanced / Fluent (spoken & written)
  • French: Intermediate / Average (spoken & written)
