Job Summary

A highly motivated individual with a passion and genuine interest in technology is sought after, to lead, direct, organize, prioritize, and assess the work done by the development team. To be successful in this role, he or she should be able to identify user needs and direct work within the team to produce the most value and work with cross-functional teams to achieve set goals, deadlines, and targets Remnumeration: NGN 200,000 - NGN300,000 depending on experience plus a performance-based bonus which can be up to 150%.

Job Description/Requirements


  1. Responsible for directing the development team in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of applications to meet business and performance-related goals.
  2. Participating in software requirement review, preliminary and critical design, integration readiness review, and software acceptance review.
  3. Understanding the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria, and competitive issues and their impact on development
  4. Contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
  5. Coordinate the development staff’s schedule and ensure effective communication between the team and others outside of your team.
  6. Provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvement and act as a technical mentor and adviser.
  7. Take ownership of support and maintenance of key applications and establishes relationships with key business departments
  8. Develops fundamental understanding of multiple business functions and related production systems and takes ownership of them from a technological standpoint
  9. Review our software development process and optimize wherever necessary to enable us to model the best practices for software development
  10. Accountable for the performance of the development team and the quality and performance of products that are released.


    1. Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks (such as Laravel, Yii,cakephp etc)
    2. Understanding of MVC design patterns
    3. Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming
    4. Strong database knowledge specifically MySQL
    5. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
    6. Frontend Frameworks (Angular, React, Vue) (Optional)
    7. Ability to Lead Team of Developers
    8. Demonstrating knowledge of multiple software development methodologies (e.g. Agile Methodologies, Waterfall).


    1. Minimum Qualification: OND, HND, BSc
    2. Must have at least 3 years experience leading a development team
    3. Have worked with web services API integration (HTTP, REST, JSON).
    4. Applicants must back up work experience by highlighting previous lucrative project(s) handled. 
    5. Candidates should be proficient in Developing Web Applications using PHP 5, MySQL 5.
    6. Should have strong PHP/MySQL Coding Skills with a Stronghold on OOPs Concepts, PHP Functions & classes
    7. Understand the use of cloud computing to host and develop applications
