Senior HR Executive (People Systems & Performance) — Abuja (On-site)

Role Overview
We’re hiring a Senior HR Executive to lead and strengthen our HR operations and people systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who can build structure from scratch, draft policies that actually work, train managers, and use data to drive better people decisions.
You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with team leads across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1) People Systems & Performance Management
- Design and run performance management systems (KPIs, scorecards, check-ins, reviews, PIPs)
- Build role clarity systems: job scorecards, SOP alignment, standards, and accountability routines
- Create simple reporting dashboards and run weekly/monthly people metrics reviews
- Turn people data into insights and actions (retention risks, performance gaps, training needs)
2) HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Own onboarding and offboarding end-to-end (process, documentation, experience, exit insights)
- Maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
- Ensure smooth HR operations across the organization
3) Policies, Compliance & Employee Relations
- Draft, review, and implement HR policies (discipline, leave, performance, conduct, onboarding, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor regulations and internal standards
- Handle employee relations issues with fairness, structure, and strong documentation
4) Training & Manager Enablement
- Train managers on performance conversations, feedback, coaching, and enforcement of standards
- Develop internal training materials, playbooks, and practical guides employees can follow
- Support culture and engagement initiatives that improve execution and morale
What We’re Looking For
- Proven senior HR experience (HR Ops + policy + employee relations + performance management)
Strong understanding of KPIs and how to build trackable people systems
- Ability to think innovatively and solve people/operations problems beyond “standard HR
- Strong writing skills for drafting policies, playbooks, and internal documentation
- Data-driven mindset: comfortable working with metrics, trends, and insights
- Confident communicator who can train, influence, and hold standards across teams
Nice to Have (Plus)
- Experience working with a HR tech company/startup.
- Ubdertanding rhe use of HR tools (HRIS, ATS, performance tools, dashboards)
Experience building systems in SMEs/startups (where structure must be created, not inherited)

Reports directly to: CEO
Compensation: ₦ 250,000 - ₦ 600,000/month
