We are currently recruiting a Head Chef for a reputable online eatery based in Lagos. This role is ideal for an experienced culinary professional who can lead kitchen operations, maintain high food quality standards, and manage a fast-paced production environment.
Role Overview
The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including meal preparation, menu execution, food quality control, and kitchen staff supervision. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and food production processes
Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff (cooks, assistants, and bakers)
Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards
Develop and execute menu items in line with brand offerings
Manage inventory, ingredient usage, and reduce food waste
Enforce strict hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
Train and mentor kitchen staff for improved performance
Monitor kitchen efficiency and ensure timely order fulfillment
Collaborate with management on menu updates and food strategy
Requirements
Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a restaurant or food production setup
Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety standards
Leadership and team management skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Creativity in menu development and food presentation
Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Profile
Based within or around Maryland, Lagos
Experience in restaurant, catering, or online food delivery operations
Strong leadership presence and ability to manage kitchen discipline
Passion for consistency, quality, and customer satisfaction
