The Fleet/Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company’s transportation and logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods, materials, and personnel. The role involves managing vehicle maintenance schedules, supervising drivers, monitoring fuel usage, coordinating deliveries.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the routine maintenance, repairs, and licensing of the entire delivery fleet (bikes.).
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using logistics software to minimize delivery time and cost, especially for time-sensitive, perishable goods.
- Manage the scheduling and dispatch of drivers/riders from the hub for last-mile delivery. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of drivers, riders, and dispatch personnel.
- Ensure proper handling and loading of baked goods, strictly maintaining the cold chain or specific temperature requirements during transit to prevent spoilage.
- Coordinate with the hub supervisors to ensure orders are ready and accurately matched for dispatch.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like On-Time Delivery (OTD), delivery success rate, and logistics costs per order.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all logistics functions to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Manage relationships with external equipment providers, mechanics, and fuel suppliers as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum BSc/HND in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, Operations Management, or any related field.
- Deep understanding of logistics processes, route planning, and fleet maintenance, ideally in a perishable goods environment.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a large team of field staff (drivers/riders).
- Experience with GPS tracking systems, route optimization software, and inventory tools.
- Strong ability to quickly resolve real-time logistics issues (e.g., traffic, vehicle breakdowns, dispatch errors).
- Ability to manage a logistics budget, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in local dialects for team management being a plus.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000 monthly
