Farm Supervisor

Responsibilities:

There are Quality Control Points that needs to be observe daily and report against;

• Number of attendants
• Number of feed bags, received in stock and  consumed per day
• Medication prescribed and administered
• Volume or water pumped, served, and stocked
• Condition of key machines at the farm
• Quantity of lube oils received, used, and left in stock
• Eggs production, shipped and left in stock
• Any mortality,  post mortem conducted closing stock of birds
• Vaccination carried out.

Objectives of this role:

• Provide Business continuity and Business support services to farm management, by assisting Farm management to procure and report on essential farm requirements
• Provide assurance to the Director on actual daily production by independently collecting and collating production and cost records from each Highrise and Farm total
• Take actual and accurate stock of the eggs twice a day through physical counting
• Take actual and accurate counting of the stock birds weekly through physical counting. Track stock movement on a daily basis as a result of mortalities and or sales or transfers of birds
• Report daily on the health of the birds, treatment administered, and effectiveness of these in terms of production
• Manage the welfare of staff including but not limited to leave administration, daily preparation and serving, compassionate medical assistance, medical emergencies, salary advances, and personal needs (if any)
• Support the transfer of birds during stocking and de-stocking / selling leveraging own and hired staff and ensuring minimal stress on the birds
• Conduct weekly inspections on the housekeeping cleanliness and extent of overgrown weeds at the farm and Report to the Director
• Monitor the general well-being motivation and performance of each staff and report to the Director. Hire staff to clear or spray overgrown weeds and send invoices for payments

Requirements:

• Minimum academic qualification of HND/BSc in Science, Social Science, and Engineering and should have completed their NYSC
• Physical fitness, eye for details and patterns
• Technical awareness
• Skills in Bookkeeping and record keeping
• Experience in root cause analysis is desirable
• Skilled user of WhatsApp, search engines, and other collaboration tools

Location: Candidates living around Uselu, Ugbowo, Oluku area of the City will have shorter daily commute and would be preferred

Note: All Farm Auditors and QA QC Engineer shuttle to Farm daily on company-provided transport on a side days per week duty roster.
