Job Summary

The selected candidate will be required to manage the technical and administrative functions for maintenance and operational support to a multi-functional facility/complex within the Aquatics Facilities Division.

Job Description/Requirements

  • Coordinates and leads the day-to-day activities of Park Maintenance Workers to perform a wide range of assignments.
  • Plans, schedules, assigns, monitors work, and provide technical assistance to resolve problems.
  • Trains staff in equipment operation, building maintenance, and safety procedures and practices.
  • Participates in employee selections, performance evaluations, and counseling.
  • Recommends disciplinary actions. Inspects work quantity and quality of assigned workers.
  • Leads workers on routine custodial duties and special cleaning projects (for example floor maintenance, storm clean up, vandalism, program set up, and support.
  • Inspects work quantity and quality of assigned workers.
  • Assures crews complete all daily work assignments to established standards.
  • Holds crews accountable for work assignments.
  • Provides a wide variety of unique and specialized services for special events.
  • As directed by supervisor, maintains, prepares, and initiates records. Keeps inventory and supply records.
  • Participates in investigations and writes reports of accidents, injuries, equipment damage, etc. Submits routine and special reports connected with facilities, programs, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Responsible for the supervision of various maintenance contracts.
  • Acts as liaison between contractor and facility to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Inspects custodial cleaning and performance and makes recommendations for improvements. Coordinates daily, weekly, and quarterly cleaning schedules
  • Closely monitors expenditures to include intermittent staff salary logs and spending plans, purchases office supplies, various equipment needs, specialized department needs, etc.
  • Work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays; as an on-site coordinator during special events/programs and delegates this task if and when appropriate.
  • Participate and perform Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities for Operations Unit on a monthly basis.


  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering, Certification, or a field closely related to facilities management.
  • Three or more years of water maintenance or related field experience.
  • Should be a certificate holder or training in Aquatic Facility Operator and/or Certified Pool Operator will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of pool water chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies used in providing comprehensive building/water park maintenance services.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must demonstrate excellent written, oral, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Must be able to create and maintain documents with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Will use industrial-grade equipment and machines.
  • Maintain/repair plumbing, pumps, HVAC, filtration systems, machinery, and electrical circuitry.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contracted to complete work.
  • Knowledge of entertainment or amusement industries is beneficial.
  • Must meet physical requirements as outlined below.
  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time;
