Driver

Responsibilities:

• Drive company staff and visitors to various destinations as assigned.
• Ensure the vehicle is always clean, fueled, and in proper working condition.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Ensure all journeys are recorded and documented as required.
• Deliver and retrieve official documents, packages, or materials as needed.
• Follow assigned routes and schedule or adjust routes to avoid traffic or road construction, as necessary.
• Obey traffic laws and follow defensive driving practices at all times.
• Ensure the security of the vehicle and its occupants during trips.
• Promptly report accidents, incidents, or traffic violations.
• Assist with loading and unloading items where applicable.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate).
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a driver.
• Experience driving within and outside the city is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license (appropriate class for vehicle type).
• LASDRI or other applicable driving certifications (for drivers in Lagos or similar jurisdictions).
• Excellent driving skills and familiarity with road safety regulations.
• Good knowledge of road networks and traffic rules.
• Ability to operate GPS devices and follow navigation instructions.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically fit and mentally alert.
