Dispatch Rider

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and products to designated locations promptly and safely.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries and optimize fuel usage.
• Verify delivery details and ensure items are delivered to the correct recipients.
• Obtain customer signatures or other proof of delivery where required.
• Handle packages carefully to prevent damage, loss, or tampering during transit.
• Conduct daily inspections of the assigned motorcycle and report maintenance needs or faults promptly.
• Ensure the motorcycle is clean, roadworthy, and properly fueled before commencing deliveries.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, collections, mileage, fuel usage, and expenses.
• Comply with all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company delivery policies.
• Communicate delivery updates, delays, or incidents to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Collect payments or documents from customers where required and ensure accurate remittance.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service during all interactions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Proven years of experience as a Dispatch Rider, Courier Rider, or in a similar delivery role.
• Valid Rider's Permit and a valid Nigerian Driver's License for motorcycles.
• Good knowledge of road networks and navigation within the assigned location.
• Ability to use GPS and navigation applications such as Google Maps.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Physically fit and capable of handling delivery responsibilities.
