Job Title: Costing & Tax Officer
Location: Anambra
Job Summary

• Costing/Tax is responsible for managing two critical financial functions: product costing management accounting and corporate taxation. This role ensures accurate product cost calculation for pricing and profitability analysis and guarantees full compliance with all federal and state tax regulations. The position is pivotal for providing management with crucial financial insights for decision-making and for safeguarding the company against tax risks.
  

Responsibilities

• Please prepare detailed monthly management accounts, including cost of sales, gross margin analysis, and departmental performance reports to help make strategic and operational decisions.
• Manage the company’s complete tax portfolio.
• Ensure accurate computation, timely filing and payment of all taxes (Company Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, Tertiary Education Tax, etc.).
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
• Lead the cost centre budgeting process.
• Provide detailed costing data and analysis to support the annual operating budget and periodic financial forecasts.
• Oversee the accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods inventory in the financial records in accordance with IFS.
  

Requirements

• A minimum of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent Degree from a recognized university
• At least 4 years of progressive legal practice, with significant experience in corporate law, contracts, compliance, and regulatory affairs.
