Computer Numerical Control Machinist

Job Title: CNC programmer/Operator

Responsibilities:

Set up CNC machines based on job specifications and blueprints.

Load materials onto CNC machines and secure them properly for processing.

Program CNC machines using computer software to execute cutting, drilling, shaping, or milling operations as per design requirements.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implementation of new techniques, software to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality in CNC operations.

Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or malfunctions.

Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, tooling) to optimize production quality and efficiency.

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Troubleshoot machine problems and make adjustments or repairs as needed.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with other team members, including designers, and production supervisors, to achieve production goals effectively.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a furniture company

HND or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in CNC machining is preferred

Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and understanding CNC programming.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production instructions.

Knowledge of different types of wood and materials used in furniture manufacturing.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot machine issues.
