Job summary

The Business Development Manager (Sales–IT Infrastructure) is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market presence for the company’s IT infrastructure solutions. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and delivering tailored IT solutions across hardware, software, cloud services, etc.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategy:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive market penetration and revenue growth for IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, emerging technologies, and new business opportunities.
  • Identify and target industries and organizations requiring IT infrastructure services.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
  • Prospect, engage, and convert new clients by understanding their IT infrastructure needs and proposing suitable solutions.
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and commercial negotiations.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Solution Design & Collaboration:
  • Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and engineering teams to design and propose effective IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are feasible, competitively priced, and aligned with organizational capabilities.
Project Support & Reporting:
  • Support project implementation to ensure solutions are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Track sales performance, pipeline activities, and market feedback, and provide regular reports to management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • An MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development or sales within IT infrastructure or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure solutions, including cloud computing, data centers, networking, and cybersecurity.
  • Proven sales, negotiation, and deal-closing skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Good understanding of technical concepts and ability to communicate them effectively to clients.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
