Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role as a Web Designer. The Web Designer will be responsible for designing and maintaining the organization’s website, ensuring an intuitive and engaging user experience. Core tasks include creating wireframes and prototypes, designing visually appealing web pages, implementing responsive design principles, and collaborating with other team members to enhance online presence. The role will also involve troubleshooting website issues and keeping the site updated with fresh content.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in web design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar platforms
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for web design and development
- Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles
- Strong understanding of user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design best practices
- Excellent attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics and visual design
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
- Strong communication skills for feedback and team collaboration
- Prior experience in non-profit or volunteer projects is a plus
- Bachelor's degree or work experience in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field is preferred
