Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables when required.
- Present menus, explain menu items, and provide recommendations to guests.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Ensure guests are satisfied with their meals and respond to requests or concerns promptly.
- Prepare and arrange dining tables, including setting up cutlery, glassware, and table linens.
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas.
- Process guest bills and handle payments accurately.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, and other service staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and promotional activities.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Assist with banquet, conference, and special event service when required.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of customer service, appearance, and professionalism
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
