Role Description
This is a full-time, remote volunteer position for a Python Trainer dedicated to teaching teenagers.
The Python Trainer will conduct online educational sessions, create engaging lesson plans, provide guidance on Python programming concepts, and mentor students to develop problem-solving skills.
The trainer will assess progress, facilitate interactive learning experiences, and encourage students to explore application-driven programming projects.
Iksha Tech currently provides training and mentorship to over 60 teenagers, creating a vibrant and diverse learning community that the trainer will be actively supporting.
Time Commitment:
Volunteers are required to dedicate a minimum of 2 hours every weekday evening and 3 hours on weekends to training, mentoring, and preparing learning materials.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Python programming and related tools, with a solid understanding of coding concepts and best practices
Experience in teaching or mentoring, especially with teenagers, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for educating and inspiring young learners
Knowledge in creating and delivering interactive and engaging lesson plans
Ability to work independently in a remote setup, with access to necessary technology for virtual instruction
Experience with educational initiatives, youth development programs, or coding bootcamps is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
