Job summary
Chelis Group is seeking a highly creative, tech-savvy, and results-oriented Videographer & Video Editor to join our growing team at the Head Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, capturing, editing, and producing high-quality video content that promotes the activities, achievements, products, and services.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Capture high-quality video footage for corporate events, promotional campaigns, advertisements, interviews, documentaries, news features, articles, magazines, and other media productions.
- Document both private and public company activities, ensuring important moments are professionally recorded and archived.
- Meet with internal stakeholders and clients to discuss project objectives, timelines, budgets, and production requirements.
- Determine and prepare appropriate equipment for each assignment, including cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, ISO settings, aperture (F-stop), and other technical specifications.
- Select suitable camera angles, framing techniques, filters, and visual styles that align with project goals.
- Participate in pre-production activities, including script review, storyboard development, shot listing, and production planning.
- Manage and organize video files and footage using appropriate database and storage systems.
- Edit raw footage into compelling and coherent visual stories suitable for various digital and traditional media platforms.
- Sequence clips effectively and integrate music, graphics, visual effects, animations, transitions, subtitles, and dialogue where required.
- Collaborate with marketing, communications, and management teams to create engaging multimedia content.
- Ensure all video projects are completed within deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in videography and video editing.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in a relevant field.
- Excellent knowledge of different cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and production techniques suitable for various assignments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CorelDRAW.
- Strong working knowledge of video editing and design software, including: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, Filmora, Final Cut Pro, iMovie, and other relevant multimedia software
- Familiarity with special effects, motion graphics, 3D design, and animation.
- Ability to edit extensive raw footage and produce high-quality final content.
- Strong creative, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must reside in close proximity to Bode Thomas Road, Surulere, Lagos.
- Must be willing and able to travel at short notice when required.
- Willing to work on alternate Saturdays.
