Technology Research and Development Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and innovation opportunities across areas such as AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT, etc. 
• Monitor technology adoption across key industries and identify high-potential use cases and market opportunities. 
• Evaluate OEM and vendor solutions, including capabilities, market positioning, ecosystem fit, and commercial relevance. 
• Track regulatory, policy, and market developments that may impact technology adoption.
• Produce technology watch reports, opportunity assessments, and strategic recommendations for leadership.
• Identify customer and market problems that can be addressed through technology solutions.
• Assess opportunities based on market demand, business value, technical feasibility, and strategic alignment. 
• Partner decision-making through structured analysis and recommendations.
• Develop business cases and opportunity briefs to support investment and innovation decisions.
• Translate identified opportunities into high-level solution concepts and use cases.
• Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to validate solution viability and market fit. 

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications or industry certifications are an advantage.
• 4–8 years of experience in technology research, innovation, solution consulting, pre-sales engineering, technology strategy, or related roles.
• Demonstrated experience engaging enterprise customers, understanding their business and technology challenges, contributing to solution proposals, and working across OEM partner portfolios. 
• Experience evaluating technology platforms, vendor ecosystems, and market opportunities.
• Demonstrated ability to produce research, analysis, recommendations, or solution concepts that influenced business decisions.
