Technical Security Lead
Job summary
VIVANDI Management Services Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a reputable and forward-looking Oil & Gas company.The technical security Lead will lead a technical security team that is responsible for identifying, defining, and designing of present and future technical security needs for The Company. The role is responsible for the conception, implementation, safe operations, and maintenance of approved technical security solutions across The Company to mitigate risks, reduce costs and effectively facilitate secure and enhanced business operations.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Responsible for the delivery of all current and future physical/technical security related projects and upgrades within The Company.
- Responsible for performing technical security reviews of existing in the company facilities and implementing fit for purpose technology-based solutions to mitigate identified risks to ALARP.
- Identification of suitable technologies for deployment, development of functional requirements, conceptual designs/drawings, CONOPS for the deployment of new risk-based security systems as well as monitoring implementation throughout the construct phase.
- Responsible for technical security input to major projects in the company at the various maturation phases and monitor for standards and quality compliance during construct/operate phase.
- Responsible for internal/external stakeholder engagements/management with regards to implementation and operations of technical security systems in the company.
- Ensure continuous operation, maintenance, and integrity of deployed technical security systems/infrastructure within The Company.
- Responsible for deployment/operations of security communications systems/equipment for the Company security function.
- Responsible for management of all 60+ personnel within the company technical security team alongside all associated vendors/contracts.
- Responsible for the management of all categories of access to company facilities/offices, and overseeing the design, issuance, and lifecycle management of Company access cards in line with approved policies/procedures.
- Act as Technical Authority (TA3) for all technical security related content/activity in projects, including change management and deviation control process.
- Provide consultancy/advisory services and technical support on selection/use of security technology for other business functions within The Company.
- Identify contracting needs and prepare contract documentation for the implementation of new contracts.
- Manage vendors from kick-off meetings through the life of the contracts to closing out contracts.
- Manage all contract finances
- Plan and Manage the Resilience Asset Protection OPEX budget
- Tracking procurement of materials for major projects
- Deputise for the Security Resilience Manager in his absence
- A bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution
- 10 to 15 years of proven experience in setting up and managing complex multifaceted technical security systems/projects.
- A professional industrial/corporate security certification from ASIS International and/or other globally recognized security professional body.
- Significant experience in one or more of the following will be an added advantage Cognate experience in setting up and managing backend ICT systems (Server, Storage systems, Local/Wide Area Networks, Telecommunications/Data, transmission systems, etc)
- Implementation and management of major contracts.
- Good understanding of the business and appreciation of Security processes as they relate particularly to The Company.
- In-depth knowledge on design, integration and management of a wide range of security systems, technologies and sensors (video surveillance/analytics/management systems, asset tracking systems/IVMS, access management systems, biometrics, radars, perimeter intruder detection, systems, thermal imaging systems, vehicle/personnel/baggage screening)
- Systems, physical barriers/turnstiles/locks, command and control systems etc.
- Strong leadership and effective interpersonal, interface and people management skills.
- Result oriented team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a strategic perspective.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure in a demanding multitasking environment with changing priorities and challenging deadlines.
- Strong administrative and technical writing skills
- Excellent organizational/decision-making skills with strong oral and written communications abilities
