Job summary

We are seeking an experienced, proactive, and results-oriented Supermarket Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy supermarket in Shomolu, Lagos. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent business acumen, and drive sales while ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the supermarket.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely stock replenishment.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and minimize inventory losses.
  • Ensure proper merchandising and attractive product displays.
  • Drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor cash handling procedures and prevent shrinkage.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for efficient stock management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience managing a supermarket, retail store, or similar business.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Good knowledge of inventory management systems.
  • Ability to analyze sales performance and implement improvement strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet business targets.
