Structured Cabling and Fibre Installation Supervisor

Responsibilities:

• Survey cable routes, containment and outlet locations; prepare cable, port and labelling schedules.
• Supervise Cat6A copper and multimode fibre installation, termination and patching.
• Manage technician assignments, installation progress, workmanship and site coordination.
• Enforce cable separation, bend-radius, containment, grounding and fire-stopping requirements.
• Oversee rack dressing, patch-panel termination, labelling and safe handling of fibre and equipment.
• Certify every copper permanent link, test fibre optical loss, rectify defects and deliver test reports and as-built records.
• Support subsequent cable repairs, moves, additions and changes.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of structured cabling experience, including commercial installation supervision.
• Hands-on Cat6A copper and multimode fibre installation and termination experience.
• Competence with professional copper certification and fibre test equipment.
• Ability to supervise technicians, interpret drawings and maintain accurate installation records.
• Strong attention to labelling, rack organisation, quality and site safety.

Preferred: BICSI, Fluke, FOA/CFOT or relevant manufacturer training. Fibre-splicing certification or practical splicing experience is an advantage.
