Strategic Technology Advisor (C-Suite)

This is a strategic C-suite advisory role reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position provides expert counsel on technology strategy, digital transformation, systems architecture, cybersecurity, and IT governance. The advisor will champion technology-enabled modernization of NSITF's Employees' Compensation Scheme (ECS) delivery, ensure institutional compliance with digital governance frameworks, and advise on emerging technologies aligned with organizational objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and advise on technology vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with organizational goals
- Assess current technology landscape, identify capability gaps, and recommend modernization priorities
- Lead or support enterprise architecture assessments and technology rationalization exercises
Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Support implementation of digital-first solutions (web portals, mobile apps, APIs) for stakeholder engagement
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (AI, cloud, blockchain) for operational efficiency and innovation
Information Security & Compliance
- Advise on cybersecurity strategy, data protection, and compliance with NDPR, NITDA guidelines, and CBN/regulatory requirements
- Support enterprise risk management, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning
- Oversee technology governance, control frameworks, and audit readiness
Systems & Infrastructure
- Evaluate IT infrastructure, legacy systems, and data management approaches; recommend cloud migration or modernization
- Advise on systems integration, interoperability with government platforms and data analytics
- Support vendor selection, technology partnerships, and IT operational efficiency
Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement
- Represent NSITF in technology discussions with government digital agencies
- Advise on technology-related policy matters and regulatory compliance
- Support technology partnerships with development finance institutions and international best practice adoption
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field experience
- Minimum 7-10 years progressive IT/technology experience, including 5+ years in senior advisory or technology leadership
- Proven experience advising C-suite executives or boards on technology strategy
- Track record leading or supporting digital transformation initiatives, systems modernization, or enterprise architecture projects
- Experience with government/regulatory technology environments and policy-making
- Knowledge of Nigerian IT governance
- Understanding of systems and API integrations
- Knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data management technologies
