Storekeeper

Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect and record all goods and supplies delivered to the restaurant.
• Verify delivered items against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes.
• Ensure that the quantity, quality and condition of received goods meet the restaurant's requirements.
• Arrange and store items properly according to their categories and storage requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock received, issued, transferred and remaining.
• Issue food ingredients, beverages and other supplies to authorised departments upon approved requests.
• Monitor stock levels and notify management when items are running low.
• Conduct regular stocktaking and reconcile physical stock with recorded inventory.
• Ensure proper storage of perishable and non-perishable food items to prevent spoilage and contamination.
• Monitor expiry dates and implement the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expired, First-Out (FEFO) inventory systems.
• Maintain cleanliness, orderliness and proper organisation of the store.
• Monitor the usage of stock by the kitchen, bar, restaurant and cleaning departments.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, missing or wasted stock to management.
• Ensure that no stock leaves the store without proper authorisation and documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation of all stock movements and inventory transactions.
• Assist the accountant and management during internal and external stock audits.
• Monitor unusual stock consumption and report suspected theft, misuse or inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure that food items, beverages and other supplies are stored securely.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports as required by management.
• Maintain effective communication with procurement, accounting, kitchen, bar and restaurant departments

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience
  
• A minimum of an OND in a related field
