Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Storekeeper to manage the inventory of food items, ingredients, packaging materials, and restaurant supplies. The Storekeeper will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate stock records to ensure a smooth flow of operations across the restaurant outlets.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Mid level
  • Experience Length : 3 years
  • Working Hours : Full Time

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supplies and materials.
  • Ensure proper storage and labelling of all items according to safety and hygiene standards.
  • Issue materials and ingredients to kitchen and restaurant staff based on requisitions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management software.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with physical inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the Procurement Manager of low or critical items.
  • Ensure storage areas are clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Prevent spoilage, wastage, and theft by implementing effective stock control measures.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory reports and audits.
  • Ensure First-In, First-Out (FIFO) stock rotation method is followed at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement and Kitchen teams to ensure supply chain efficiency.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of HND; additional training in storekeeping, inventory control, or logistics is an advantage.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry.
  • Knowledge of food safety and storage guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to operate inventory management systems and basic computer tools (e.g., Excel).
  • Honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
  • Physical stamina for lifting and moving stock as needed
