Job summary

Loveworld Incorporated is seeking a passionate and strategic Staff Development Manager to lead employee learning, development, and performance enhancement initiatives within the Ministry of Commerce. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing programs that equip employees with the skills, knowledge, and competencies

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Learning & Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive staff development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct training needs assessments and competency gap analyses across departments.
  • Design, coordinate, and facilitate training programs, workshops, seminars, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Create learning pathways and professional development plans for employees at all levels.
  • Identify and engage internal and external training providers where necessary.

Performance & Talent Development:

  • Support the development and implementation of performance management frameworks.
  • Work closely with department leaders to identify high-potential employees and succession planning opportunities.
  • Establish career development programs and employee growth initiatives.
  • Monitor employee development progress and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop mentorship and coaching programs to enhance staff capabilities.

Organizational Capability Building:

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain competency frameworks for various roles within the Department of Commerce.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare periodic reports on training outcomes, staff development activities, and return on investment.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with HR, department heads, and leadership teams to align staff development initiatives with organizational priorities.
  • Provide guidance to managers on employee development and performance improvement strategies.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees. 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bsc.
  • A minimum of 4 years experience
