As we expand our programming and partnerships, we are seeking a Sponsorship Sales Manager to lead revenue generation through strategic brand and institutional sponsorships.
Role Overview
The Sponsorship Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, pitching, closing, and managing sponsorship partnerships for TEDxMaitama events, programs, and media platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who understands that sponsorship is not just sales—but value alignment, storytelling, and long-term relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Strategy & Sales
- Develop and execute a sponsorship sales strategy aligned with TEDxMaitama’s vision, audience, and annual programming calendar
- Identify and prospect potential sponsors including corporates, foundations, development partners, and premium consumer brands
- Pitch tailored sponsorship proposals and partnership decks to decision-makers (CMOs, Heads of CSR, Brand Managers, Executives)
- Negotiate sponsorship packages, deliverables, and commercial terms
Partnership Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors before, during, and after events
- Ensure sponsors receive agreed visibility, engagement, and value across events, digital platforms, and media assets
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships to enable repeat sponsorships and multi-year partnerships
Revenue & Pipeline Management
- Build and manage a sponsorship sales pipeline with clear targets and timelines
- Track outreach, meetings, proposals, and closed deals
- Work closely with the TEDxMaitama leadership team to forecast sponsorship revenue
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with the Programming, Marketing, Media, and Partnerships teams to align sponsor deliverables with event execution
- Provide regular updates and reports on sponsorship performance, pipeline status, and revenue outcomes
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–6 years experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, business development, or brand collaborations
- Proven track record of closing sponsorship or partnership deals, preferably in events, media, nonprofits, or cultural platforms
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, marketing objectives, and corporate sponsorship dynamics
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Comfortable engaging senior executives and institutional partners
- Passion for ideas, storytelling, leadership, and impact-driven platforms
