Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• System Design & Architecture: Planning the structure of software applications, selecting technologies, and mapping how different components will communicate.
• Development (Coding): Writing efficient, maintainable, and reusable code across the frontend (user interfaces), backend (server, database, and logic), or both (full-stack).
• Testing & Debugging: Writing automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) to ensure features work correctly and fixing any software bugs or crashes that arise.
• Collaboration & Planning: Working closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand the user's needs.
• Maintenance & Support: Monitoring live applications to ensure they remain functional and secure, and providing on-call support for critical outages.
• Documentation: Writing technical guides and operational procedures so that future engineers can easily understand and update the codebase.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• 5–6 years of software development experience, preferably within the energy, utilities, or enterprise software sector.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Java EE, JavaScript, and Object-Oriented Programming.
• Experience developing enterprise web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of MySQL, DevOps tools, cloud platforms, Single Sign-On (SSO), and SaaS deployment.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and API integrations.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IoT, smart metering (AMI/MDMS), or power utility systems is a plus.
