The successful candidate will work with existing software and codebases, develop new features, fix bugs, integrate APIs and improve performance

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and improve existing applications and features.
- Work with existing codebases, APIs and databases.
- Build and test new product features.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs.
- Collaborate with the Technology & AI team to translate requirements into solutions.
- Maintain clean, secure and well-documented code.
- Support continuous improvement of our digital products.
Requirements:
- 3 years' professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with modern frontend and/or backend development.
- Experience with APIs, databases and Git.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and work with an existing codebase.
- Experience with AI/LLM integrations, EdTech, SaaS or automation is an advantage.
- Degree/HND in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills
Candidates should demonstrate practical experience with relevant technologies such as:
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks such as React, Next.js or similar.
- Backend: Node.js, Python, PHP, Java, or another modern backend technology.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB or similar.
- APIs: REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Version Control: Git/GitHub or equivalent.
- Cloud/Deployment: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or comparable platforms.
Experience with any of the following will be an advantage:
- Artificial Intelligence/LLM integrations
- Generative AI

- EdTech/LMS platforms
