The Candlelight Foundation is seeking a compassionate, responsible, and dedicated Social Worker to join our team and support vulnerable children and young people within our programmes and shelter.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide social and emotional support to vulnerable children
- Monitor children's welfare and development
- Maintain accurate case files and reports
- Support child protection and safeguarding activities
- Liaise with families, schools and relevant agencies
- Participate in community outreach and child-focused programmes
- Assist with assessments, referrals and follow-up activities
Requirements:
- Degree/HND in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Guidance & Counselling or a related field
- Must have completed NYSC
- Experience in social work or child welfare is an advantage
- Knowledge or experience working with street children is an added advantage
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong documentation and report-writing skills
- Patient, empathetic, and child-friendly
- Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
