Role Description
The Social Media Manager will oversee TEDxAAUEkpoma's online presence by managing and executing social media strategies to enhance engagement and reach. Key responsibilities include creating and scheduling content, optimizing posts for reach and engagement, monitoring and responding to community interactions, and analyzing performance metrics to inform future strategies. They will also collaborate with the team to ensure consistent branding and messaging across platforms. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO)
- Strong Communication and Writing skills
- Experience in developing and implementing effective Content Strategies
- Analytical skills to assess performance metrics and refine social media approaches
- Adept at using social media tools and platforms
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work in a team environment
- Previous experience in event marketing or working with nonprofits is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred
