Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Primary Duty: Set up and manage a centralized security monitoring dashboard to log and analyze system activity.
- Real-Time Monitoring: We currently have no automated system looking at our network traffic day and night. A SOC Analyst will deploy a centralized monitoring system (a SIEM tool) to track all server activity around the clock.
- Stopping Live Attacks: If a hacker tries to launch brute-force password attacks or manipulate our databases, this role will instantly spot the anomaly, block their IP address, and secure the compromised servers before data is stolen.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of a BSC.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience with SIEM tools, network log analysis, Linux security settings, and rapid incident response coordination.
