Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM, EDR, network, and other security monitoring tools.
- Perform initial triage and analysis of security alerts to identify suspicious or potentially malicious activity.
- Distinguish between false positives and genuine security incidents using available logs and security tools.
- Escalate confirmed or high-severity incidents to senior SOC analysts in accordance with established procedures.
- Assist with basic investigation of security incidents and gather relevant evidence for further analysis.
- Monitor network, endpoint, authentication, and system activities for unusual patterns.
- Maintain accurate records of security alerts, incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
- Prepare daily/weekly SOC reports and shift handover updates where required.
- Follow SOC procedures, playbooks, escalation matrices, and security policies.
- Support vulnerability monitoring and follow up on identified security issues.
- Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.

Collaborate with IT and other technical teams when security issues require further investigation or remediation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience
- A minimum of a degree in a related field
