Senior Software Engineer

Role Description The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services that power SnazzyHR’s recruiting and HR platform in a full-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and implementing new features, improving system performance, and ensuring reliability and security of core services. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as reviewing code, mentoring team members, and contributing to best practices. The Senior Software Engineer will also troubleshoot production issues, optimize data flows and APIs, and participate in continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience building and maintaining production systems.
• Hands-on Back-End Web Development experience, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and database integration.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and related design patterns.
• Experience with modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to write clean, testable code and use version control and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in SaaS, HRTech, or high-growth startup environments is a plus.
