Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Install and commission enterprise servers and storage, including rack integration and management access.
- Build and maintain high-availability virtualisation clusters using VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox or equivalent platforms.
- Configure storage connectivity, RAID, replication and capacity allocation for production workloads.
- Administer and harden Windows and Linux systems; maintain firmware, patches and controlled administrator access.
- Implement encrypted local and offsite backups, retention policies and protected restore points; document restore and failover tests.
- Monitor performance and hardware health, resolve faults, coordinate vendor support and maintain build and recovery documentation.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience with enterprise servers and storage.
- Practical experience deploying and supporting clustered virtualisation environments.
- Strong Windows and Linux administration, RAID, NVMe/SAS and enterprise storage knowledge.
- Experience with backups, replication, disaster recovery and production fault diagnosis.
- Ability to integrate server and storage networking and document repeatable recovery procedures.
